FFx – 爆紅了,然後呢?

之前FFx 一首 Sugar Baby 瘋傳香港,不知道大家有沒有看過呢?又覺得她們將來能不能大紅大紫呢?光靠猜是沒有用的,不如就讓我們看看YouTube的數據怎麼說!

1. 總觀看次數Sugar(圖一:YouTube上Sugar Baby –FFx 影片的累計觀看次數)

以上圖表顯示了Sugar Baby MV 在過去兩周觀看次數的增長。從圖一,我們可以看到其累計觀看次數增長曲線最近開始變得平緩,整體呈凹形,顯示看Sugar Baby MV的人數已較九月中大幅減少。

另外,若將Sugar Baby MV與其他全球大熱歌曲的YouTube 數據作比較, 不難發現Sugar Baby MV 的表現確實較差。

我們參考Spotify的排行榜,找出了近日三首熱門歌曲的YouTube數據,三首歌曲依次為:

1) What Do You Mean? – Justin Bieber

2) Can’t Feel My Face – The Weeknd

3) The Hills – The Weeknd

這三首MV 的YouTube 數據大致相似,其累計觀看次數增長曲線均為直線向上,顯示觀看者人數在兩個月內不斷上升,歌曲受歡迎時間比Sugar Baby 要長很多。

與以上三首大熱歌曲不同,FFx 能一夜爆紅的原因不外乎夠「獨特」,能吸引網民不斷轉發她們的MV,一傳十,十傳百,便造就了一天十萬點擊率的神話。可是,當熱潮過去,想要湊熱鬧的網民都看過,也笑過,她們的「獨特」便失效了,不能再吸引更多人點看她們的MV!

2. 平均觀看時間

Sugar Baby – FFx : 1分57秒/ 4分44秒

Can’t Feel My Face – The Weeknd : 2分28秒/ 3分8秒

 Can’t Feel My Face 的影片長度雖較Sugar Baby短,但人們平均觀看時間卻超過Sugar Baby。透過這項數據,我們可以推測不少人出於各種原因,如:好奇或追上潮流等,點了進去看Sugar Baby的MV,但看到一半就覺得無趣,沒有意欲在看下去,這明顯與Can’t Feel My Face及其他兩手外國歌曲不一樣。由此我們可以估計,觀看Can’t Feel My Face MV的人對歌曲的喜愛程度超過Sugar Baby 的觀看者。

縱觀以上數據,FFx 雖能一夜爆紅,但其熱潮來得快,去得也很快,現在已經越來越少人談論她們了。看來,她們想要在香港樂壇佔一席位,必須多加努力,不能再單靠「獨特」來吸引大家的注意!

Facebook Fights YouTube With Big Data On What You Watch Unmuted, Full-Screen

Facebook wants to become your favorite Internet TV by tracking what a television never could. Today it announced a News Feed algorithm change that will show you more videos similar to ones you expand to full-screen, un-mute or opt to watch in HD, even if you don’t Like, share or comment. Those same signals will tell Facebook that a video is enjoyable so the News Feed shows it to more people.

They use 700.000 rules to automatically clean, aggregate and augment their over 10 Petabytes of data. Apart from of course preventing fraudulent behaviour and identifying and preventing fraudulent transaction before they occur, Mastercard applies big data in another innovative way. It knows what everyone buys and they are using big data techniques to offer reports, insights, customer information and forecasts to their merchants.

How does President Obama view on Big Data?
